Women's Soccer Closes Books on 2015 with 4-0 Loss to ETBU

Box Score ABILENE, Texas – McMurry University said goodbye to its three seniors – Holiday Williams, Chelsey Coffey and Hailey Presley – in Saturday evening's season finale for 2015. Unfortunately for the trio, the War Hawks team came out on the short end of a 4-0 decision versus East Texas Baptist University at Wilford Moore Stadium.

The War Hawks played the Tigers close in the first half, taking six shots (compared to eight for ETBU). East Texas Baptist netted a goal in the 36th minute to take 1-0 halftime advantage into the locker room. All three of the Tigers' saves came in that opening period, as well.

However, the visiting ETBU team managed to penetrate the War Hawks defense for three second-half scores and thwart McMurry's bid for a comeback.

For the match, ETBU held a 17-7 margin in total shot attempts. McM freshman Julissa Alvarez-Mendoza had a match-high four attempts, with all three on-goal.

McM goaltender Simone Heinle was credited with nine saves in the loss.

The War Hawks wrapped up 2015 with a 2-13-2 record.
