ABILENE, Texas - The McMurry sports information office presents the “McMurry Sports Insider” subscription system again for fans to view athletic events with live video and audio. McMurry will broadcast over 90 events including all 10 football games along with selected basketball, soccer, volleyball and baseball contests.
The McMurry Sports Insider is available for subscription to fans on mcmurrysports.com. Single-game purchases can be made for $5.95, monthly subscriptions are $10.95 and yearly subscriptions are priced at $69.95 per year.
More than 800 fans took advantage of subscriptions last season and the 2010-11 school year hopes to bring improvements specifically to home football contests.
The 2010-11 McMurry Sports Insider debuts Wednesday with the men's and women's soccer matches with Lubbock Christian at 1 and 3 p.m. respectively.
All 10 McMurry football games including Saturday's season-opener against Bacone College in Muskogee, Okla. will be broadcast with live video coupled with play-by-play commentary with McMurry's radio broadcast team of Kit Kimbrell, Jerry Larned and Kyle Robarts.
Three men's and women's soccer matches are scheduled to be broadcast along with five volleyball matches. The soccer and volleyball matches will be video only.
McMurry will broadcast all 21 American Southwest Conference contests for men's and women's basketball and approximately 30 baseball games. If teams advance to playoffs, arrangements will be made to stream the games as well.
The McMurry Sports Insider also features live tech support hosted by SideArm Sports, the web provider for mcmurrysports.com. Fans can access live video by visiting the mcmurrysports.com home page and looking for the “live video/audio” link along the right-hand side of the front page.
