A Benchless McMurry Falls to LeTourneau 3-0

ABILENE, Texas- An injury plagued McMurry team played with 11 players for all 90 minutes of its 3-0 loss to LeTourneau University Friday afternoon at Edwards Field. LeTourneau was able to score three goals on only six shots on goal with the game winner coming in the 51st minute of the contest by Lauren Muniz.

McMurry held the Yellow Jackets to a scoreless first half as McMurry goalie Bianca Van Osdol recorded two saves, and LeTourneau took eight shots. Six minutes into the second half LeTourneau would score as Amanda De Leon would dribble past a McMurry defender and passed it off to Lauren Muniz who beat Van Osdol for the score. Less than two minutes later in the 52nd minute the Jackets Jody Lang would find the back of the net to add another goal to make the score 2-0

The Yellow Jackets would add another goal, as De Leon would score with only eight seconds left on the clock off a pass from Jamie Malinaric.

McMurry took five shots with two shots coming on goal. LeTourneau would more than triple the McMurry shot total with 18.
