ABILENE -- Three McMurry volleyball players finished with double-digit kills as McMurry knocked off Concordia Texas 3-1 in an American Southwest Conference West Division match Friday afternoon at Kimbrell Arena.
The 25-14, 25-21, 23-25, 25-11 win pushes McMurry to 17-6 overall and 11-4 in ASC West play. McMurry is also now on a five-match winning streak. Meanwhile, the Tornados fall to 9-17 and 5-15.
In set one, McMurry held a slight 12-11 lead before finishing the set on a 13-3 run to take it. Set two was a much closer contest as McMurry lead 21-20 before taking the set with a 4-1 run. The Tornados bounced back to take set three before McMurry dominated the fourth set to take the match.

Danielle Kelton all tallied 10 kills apiece to lead McMurry. For the second consecutive match, Kelton finished with a double-double as she also accumulated 12 digs against CTX.
Other top performers for McMurry included junior setter
Shannon Higgins, who dished out a match-high 28 assists; junior setter
Kendall Jackson, who finished with 11 assists; sophomore libero
Sarah Anding, who finished with a match-high 24 digs; and senior middle blocker
Amber Riley, who finished with five kills and three total blocks (two solo blocks and two block assists).
McMurry returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 28, when they head to Brownwood to take on Howard Payne. Match time is slated for 7 p.m.
