McMurry held scoreless again in 5-0 loss to LeTourneau

The LeTourneau YellowJackets defeated McMurry's women Friday 5-0 holding McMurry scoreless for its fourth-straight match. LeTourneau's Kirby Posey had two goals and two assists while Brooke Kincade added her first two goals of the season as the YellowJackets improved to 3-5 on the season and picked up their first American Southwest Conference win of the season.

McMurry's women fell to 0-3-1 on the season and 0-2-1 in ASC play. Emily Germany fired two shots on goal, but McMurry was only able to manage five shots the entire contest, three of which were on the goal.

LeTourneau had 30 shots with 15 on the goal. Posey scored in the 11th minute to go up 1-0 before Amanda Norton and Kincade scored before intermission to lead 3-0 at halftime. Kincade scored her second goal in the 67th minute and Posey scored the final goal of the contest in the 80th minute.

McMurry's Laura McElroy managed 10 saves in the losing effort and Denee McKay picked up the shutout for the YellowJackets.

McMurry will look for its first goal and first win of the season Saturday against East Texas Baptist in Marshall. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
