Charlie Davis, ‘60
Davis, a native of Stamford, was a two-time selection as Little All-America during his three-year McMurry football career. He won two all-conference awards and was listed on four different All-America teams in both his junior and senior years. Davis played in an All-America Bowl game with his brother Ernie against the All-Americans from the major colleges, and lost a narrow 14-12 game.
He has coached in Graham, Anson, Rotan and Olney, and is active in the Texas High School Coaches Association, the local Lions Cub and his church. He and his wife Suzy have two children and two grandchildren, currently reside in Olney.
