McM vs. Southwestern Results

GEORGETOWN, Texas - McMurry's men took a 121-63 win over Southwestern University Saturday while the women's team fell to the Pirates 96-83. For McMurry it was the final meet before the NCAA Division III independents conference meet in Elsa, Ill. Feb. 18-20.

The men took wins in both the 200 and 400-yard medley relays. In the 200, Ben Sherwood, David Richards, Matt Perez and Aaron Vasquez swam a time of 1:43.44 to take the victory. In the 400, Sherwood, Perez, Nathan Worley and Sean White took the win with a time of 3:31.12.

Craig Osterman won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.01 seconds. Daniel Harber won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:08.22. White took a win in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 51.91 seconds. Vasquez won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:34.14.

On the women's side, the tandem of Alex Altstaetter, Amber Perkins, Erin Johnson and Elise Hager won the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:59.40. Johnson took a win in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.08 and Perkins won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.36.
